Usually taking the format of one full day, participants start by learning the intricate warping process and the history of Backstrap in Central America. They will warp their loom from a variety of colours, and become comfortable with plain weaving, and fixing mistakes, before moving on to learn how to make patterns using a warp float technique.
With no more than six participants, these intimate classes will ensure plenty of one on one teaching time.
Kate is also available for shorter customised classes for groups or hens who love slow craft.
